I don't think you're account is "gone" if you can't get the email confirmation. If you can at least get to the screen that says "we've send an email confirmation message to [x email]" then you can screenshot that and send in a support ticket.
Best thing you can do is try getting an official response from someone working for Eyedentity/this forum. asking what people with your email provider should/can do to rectify the issue. Or, try to summon one to this thread so that other people with the same issue can get help.
