Future Dragon Nest

First thing, sorry about my English I am going to be short and direct.

Dragon nest had been the best MMORPG i ever played in my life, however i sttoped years ago and come back again in this month. After that the game still the same, nothing apparently special, im not talking about classes or maps, but about graphics , details and some markenting to bring the game again how used to be! There is some plan to Dragon Nest 2, or some big update to this present dragon nest? I am really invest my money and time playing this game again, but i want make sure this game still with future!

I think DN uses the same engine over the years, therefore the same graphics and details. Personally I dont think they ever acquire a new engine as it is expensive, and the current graphic is considered OK for me (with low end PC).
Dragon nest 2 released some time ago but it is dead very soon. New Dragon Nest Mobile had also been released but that are not related to this PC version. We are currently experiencing World Remaster update, where today is the first wave of the patches coming soon.
Future wise, I would say DN is still quite healthy, with enough population to sustain the game economy and income for the publisher to continue runs the game. Although with occasional bugs and stupid things done by ED, generally I would say DN still has future (well unless ED decided to kill it).

The mobile game is quite dead as well, i had talked with some players. They dont have massive players. DN used to be overcrowded, but now, there is almost no-one... I really want to know about that.... I hope they can do something somethign about this dragon nest, in my poor opinion, this game doesn't have a future, but i will try play it for a few days! MAybe i figure out some good answer! I tried many times find some MMORPG like DN, but was impossible.... I am really sad T-T

Graphics depend on the capability of the game engine they are using, "World Remaster" from their update just today isn't something like a remaster of the graphics, but rather giving the game a newer experience in terms of exploring new areas, graphics isn't gonna be something that will be enhanced in over the years because the game engine is still the old game engine they are using from before.

There are a lot of factors to consider before a game company can transition into a newer game engine:

Resources

These can be human resources, money and time, and ED doesn't seem to have enough manpower, the ability to provide for the people going to work on the transition, and the game engine they are suppose to transition the game, not to mention the time it will consume and the resources they might use in order to make this possible, which is money.

Progress

Getting a new game engine for the game to use is not a problem if they have the money and the right assets, but the process of making a game from scratch, its not just something that they can copy paste all their assets into the new game engine and poof, graphics is better, but they need to make new assets like new character models, new town models, buildings, weather effects etc and not to mention the skill animation, voice acting might come into play, and also the core of the game is the codes, the programs and the commands, each and everything that consists of the current DN must either be transferred OR remade, this is the critical part and this might take years, not to mention the process of making all the players download their new launcher, that would be such a hassle for everyone and this is a loss of profit for them and a lot of complaints... so compensation usually is an option to ease player's anxiety of having the game to be down for a good couple of days, or maybe even a week or so.

Well i may have said some wrong things in here but you get the idea, its really tough... so there's not future in DN if they don't make a decision, they should actually tell the players outright what will happen to the game and not to mention reimbursement of all the top-ups from their games for the current month or last year, that's a lot of money to refund to players if the game shuts down, so they might not be up for shutting down the game for now LOL

I can undestand your point, but some times one step back represents 2 step forward... Im not talking about shutdown the game now, but make a plan to do it, and aware the players about what they are planning. And im pretty sure about the investment that will consum...

Otherwise this investment could be really good to DN and ED in same way, since it can generate future profit. Nevertheless, it is depend on ED, would be really good if they respond something about this! I would be really happy! xD

Since DN SEA basically just take the updates from DN KR, and Korea server is about 3 months in advance of us, so you can knows the updates for the next 3 months based on the DN KR. Further future, you may refers to the Dev Blog in the DN KR main website, or Divinator Blog for translation to English.

hmm... i don't think so, since the game focuses more on getting its revenue from eye gacha and the DNP Rebate which is top-up and convert CC to EYET and get DNP for free, those are the only 2 events that i usually think for them to get their money from considering any normal transactions on a daily basis isn't that much, or rather if there are some who even spends money in this game.

There are a lot of ways DN gets its revenue, and even if its something that they forbid to do by players they won't bat an eye as such illegal methods usually gets them more money...

There won't be a good future investment for DN, its usually just eye gacha, usual events, etc etc. The game's future lies with their sales, if they don't get enough they won't even make new stuff for the game since people won't work unless they get paid.

One factor is the toxicity level of the social community ingame, one thing's for sure its very toxic, not only that but not all players cooperate to play the game, which is a problem that they also want to overcome probably the best is to have a mute function since communication isn't necessary on most gameplay unlike on raid nest, if players could possibly just mute their chats and also their chat bubbles, that would be great.
