I am pretty new to this stuff and I am wondering how much % elemental should one get for it to be considered "Good"?
I got myself water/Ice attack, how much would I need for my gladiator?

Hello! I would pump as much as you can, there is no base requirement but I would consider 35 % without technique accessories or abyss earring to be good.

    Start off with -15%
    +24.30% from gems
    + 4% from rings
    +3% from talisman
    +12% from leg armor
    +10% costume offhand

    38%

Hi, As far as I know, the threshold for ECJ users is 16%, 25% is good already. <16%, you will be better off with Destruction/Magic Jades.

For in-game attainability, you can refer to below
      Item Quantity Bearing Total
      Elemental Conversion Jade aka ECJ

      (Abyss, Lightning, Heatwave or Iceberg)
      1 -15% -15%
      Elemental Title
      • Enraged (Archbishop Nest)
      • Partner of Counter Attack (Manticore Nest)
      • etc.
      1 5% 5%
      Epic Elemental Enhancement Jade 3 8.10% 24.30%
      Magic Cash Rings 2 2% 4%
      Skill Rings 2 4.07 8.14%
      Total Elemental Attack: 26.44%
      Cash Items can yield more:
Items below are highly available in the cash shop.
      Cash Item Quantity Bearing Total
      Rare Cash Lower Body 1 4% 4%
      Rare Secondary Cash Weapon 1 3% 3%
      Total Elemental Attack: +7%
Items below have low attainability and can depend on RNG (if you chose to craft or gamble via Altea Box) or Budget (if you choose to buy)
      Cash Item Quantity Bearing Total
      Epic Cash Lower Body 1 12% 12%
      Epic Secondary Cash Weapon 1 10% 10%
      Epic Decal 1 4% 4%
      Epic Tail 1 4% 4%
Black Dragon Emerald Rings 2 3% (-2% if you are replacing Magic Cash Rings) 2%
      Total Elemental Attack: +32%

There are other factors like ele debuff (20% more dmg in party), diminishing returns from destruction/magician plate, pet, cash equipments, genesis etc too. But I'm guessing if you dont have such gear, this probably... wont matter?

Let's say in Lite's above, you get 18.3% ele using ECJ, elemental title, epic jade and 2 magic cash rings. If you get ele debuff in a party setting, you deal 1.183 * 1.2 = 41.96% more damage, which is 13.57% more than using all destruction.

You can also add Abyss Earrings & Genesis Necklace (if you got money to buy it)
Both of this gives % All Elemental Attack.
Always look straight to your goals, conquer them all and have fun.

Alright so I made a mistake, I thought Offensive Jades were giving 6% yet they only give 4% (where did I got 6% lol)

The threshold would be at 16% for Epic Jade users and 18% for Legend Jade users in which the output of both would be equal.

We can place it to a simple equation as above as both scenarios are affected all game factors such as plates, set bonuses and a like. This is due to Attack Power being a factor in both scenarios and would yield the same results.

Xenocho, the suggestion focus on the individual and not on parties. I did not consider party reliant factors such as debuffs and focused more on what can be done from a solo perspective.
In such way, you would yield better damage results involving parties when party reliant information comes at play. I hope this made sense.

It has been included in calculations.

In most cases, ECJ players have the option to change jades during specific bosses to counter elemental resistance, except during the dragon stage.

If not, the -20% ele resist reduction also greatly improves this damage.

Lastly, raid-standard gear usually has much higher elemental attack, further justifying the use of ECJ.
