  • A Simple Request

    Hi guys,

Today I was in a DQ party, and the party leader kicked the fourth one out. His reason was simple. The newbie wasn't geared, but rest of the us three were. My char was full +20 Hero Epic, and the leader himself had +16-20 Hero Unique, and the third was wearing L Ice. When I asked the Party Leader why he kicked the poor chap out, he started whining about how the under geared players will slow us down. After hearing it, L ice player quit the party and I followed him. Later, when I spoke to the said under geared player, I found out he was new to DN, and the guild he joined had no online players at that time(as expected) because it was way past midnight.

My question is: Do we have to kick the under geared players out in DQ (even if they are in Rare Gear)? It's not like it's a nest or raid where the newbie will mess up and cause a party wipe. I know, sometimes we might carry someone's under geared sub char thinking they are new to the game. So what? It isn't so bad, is it? I know most player don't do this, but some does. And some go even further and talk crap about about under geared players and why they shouldn't be allowed in a party. I agree that good gear is necessary, if it is a raid party or something like that, but for DQ it doesn't matter.

So my request is this: Don't kick them out. If you are geared help out the poor fellows. Some might be farming Neris weapons to gear up. As I said earlier most people aren't like that, and they carry under geared silently, without complaint to help them out. But if your are in the opposite category and if you are reading this please consider my words. It doesn't cost you anything to help others out with mundane things like DQ. Maybe a single DQ stage may take 3+ minutes instead of 2+ minutes, but that's all it will take. Nothing more.

    Happy gaming,
    tinku.

Yeah well even if it reaches one person, it's worth it.

To be honest, in the context of dq, I would not mind any level of geared. What ticks me off are people with the mindset of 'there's someone geared here to kill the mobs. I can slack and I wait at exit.' I call out such players at least once a day when I run two chars dq daily and to be honest, this makes me prefer running solo.

I agree that's a problem, but a minute into the run we can notice who's who. Then again, it's too late to kick them out by then. Or can we kick them during the run? Never paid attention to it.

No we can't. That's the sad part... and leaving the DQ creates problems while this FTG issue is present.

I'd say the only effective way to gain proper trust among players is by getting to know players as friends or via guilds. If its pubs, they usually show negative behaviour.

I always go 4-man Auto DQ with RH to level up my Epic Minion.
I just pick anyone as long as there is an rh.
There is just 1 thing that I hate, those who AFK on the run :'(

While derping on ch 1 to look for DQ parties, I swear I saw a person shouting "LFM> DQ need Rune geared" once .-.

Back when I started in 90 cap, people never cared for gears to run DQ, farming or even NM. i got plenty of rejections back then in normal nests but I never got rejected in DQ.

We all started at rock bottom, so I agree with you 100%. Also, kudos to you for understanding and helping the new players.

I agree, I returned back in 90 cap and I found it easy to adapt in the environment . Superior Alteum cost is high that you can just farm and sell it to enhance/craft/buy your gears. Ppl don't really care about your gear in dungeon as long as your not doing any stupid acts. Once gear, you can go nest easily . I say that cap is newbie friendly.

Dq is solo-able with default gears , just take longer time.

They appeared, gleaming and victorious. Our Emperors, breathless, bathed you in savior's silk. Then came the sound. Across all our worlds, the ceremonial Naga drums. Ten solemn beats to declare the suffering was over. With each beat terror began to crush my throat. They were not stoic and silent. I tried to call out but only a strangled whisper escaped.
When the ninth beat rang a torrent of blood filled the stadium, loosed by divine blades. The drums, the Empire, fell silent forever.

I started running duo after finding out that it consumes less FTG rather than going solo and so far the pubs are not bad.
There is this 1 new kid that don't know Neris equips can be dropped in dungeons and he blow 5k to buy his (all +10 set), I was like dude...
He even asked "can we do this?", I was like is DQ that hard...

There's also another guy who keeps dying but keeps reviving even if I told him not to.
Another occasion is a guy who loads so freaking slow and keep apologizing lmao.

I just invite anyone looking for DQ party and asked them if they are okay with going duo coz some people prefer going full party.
So far, I haven't met toxic players so it's good on my side.

Well...It's really sad to know that. Some of geared players is like that. Some are not. In Dragon Nest SEA the discrimination is real, even in 4 man / raid nests they're looking for geared players. Because they want a fast run.

I really despise people like that

They can't even talk with you properly already when you're a 'Ungeared' player. They're too arrogant and pretentious af. They're looking down on you.
Example, that 'Ungeared Player' asking a question to 'Geared Player' (Hero Calypse User). That 'Geared Player don't even reply. That 'Geared Player' is not afk or something, he's/she's just moving around. He/She just love to snob people who's below him/her.
They think they're special, they will not talk to you properly or casually if you're not on their level.

They're successful in this game? But how about in real life? .

Anyways, I ended up answering 'Ungeared Player' question because its an easy question.

Xenocho That's why I said "Some are not". "Have you seen ungeared players beg?" many times ady and nope. Its different what we're talking about here tho.
What I'm saying is 'Geared Player' don't even answer the simple question of 'Ungeared Player'. And yes scenario like this should be entertain because it was an easy question, a simple reply will do.
But what did he/her do? Just jumping around? Using gesture 'Laugh'? Showing mounts?

Yep, some of 'Geared Players' behave like that. They think they're G0.Ds. But in reality they're disappointment in their families.

I get that there are rude geared players. But the point I am trying to bring across is this: assuming the geared players are not afk or busy or alt tabbed, why would they ignore weak players?

Coming from my experience, I sometimes talk and run with pub. There are nice ones and there are an equal share if not more of horrid ones. Horrid ones whom will keep begging you for items and constantly begging you to carry nest and act as though it's a geared player's obligation.

Following the scenario above, I do choose to ignore players whom do not approach me nicely because they will usually bring the horrible experience on-board.

TBH if you do meet such geared players whom behave as rude as you described, feel free to just mention their names too. I have honestly not seen any player behave the way you mentioned and I would be curious to know if such idiots exist.

Yes, I don't understand why they're ignoring them.

Yes, that horrid ones should get a virtual slap. They want to be strong but no will to do that. :3

Yep, I do choose ignore them too.

YES, they exist. Based on my experience using my geared main and poor sub. But can't agree with you that to mention or report that idiots here. I will not waste my time no mention them here(giving proof,ss,chat history etc..).
Nothing will change to them. Who cares on that idiots. I just want to sympathize with this post.

Tho, In the end Its just a game xD, nothing to get so serious about it. To 'Ungeared People' just work your ass of in real life, then comeback to this game. It's a win-win situation

This is a bit hasty tho, there are really just times the answer can be seen with 1 hit on google or just flat right infront of them. Some inquiries are worth answering but some tells you that they don't even bother reading description... especially those looking for certain item, the attain location is, most of the time, located in the information tab after hovering on the item..
