    Writer’s Introduction

Greetings~! I am Lorallite and I have been a Windwalker main ever since I started playing the game. I joined 2013 but went on hiatus and got active late 2015.

I was originally a PvP player but slowly went on PvE mid-2016. I am active on 4-man Nests. I have no experience on 8-man Dragon Raids, but I think, it will have similar concept in terms of being a Windwalker.

I hope you will find this guide helpful on the path of the wind and hopefully help you rise like a storm.

    Windwalker: Class Introduction

Windwalker is a subclass from the Archer base class and a sub-branch of Acrobat.

We took the path of the wind in which we specialize in aerial assaults, bursts damage and AoE.
Windwalkers have a wide range of passive utilities which can be aided by our Showtime buff during battle.

Windwalkers are neutral, AGI type and are Physical Damagers (Physical Attack).

The 93 cap managed to revive the Acrobat class from its long slumber. The Acrobat class in general suffered a lot of nerfs on the previous caps which made most of the Lagendia community discriminate the class.

The most noteworthy and game changing update in both Acrobat job classes is the introduction of Air Currents or AC for short [ACs in plural]. The introduction of this Acrobat bubble system managed to lessen the gap on Acrobat class discrimination. It also managed to improve the DPS output of the Acrobat classes.

Personally, I find Windwalkers an enjoyable, flexible class to use with various combos with a dash of creativity.

Suiting things up: The Skills and Skill Analysis

In a general perspective, Windwalkers are much powerful in the Air.

    Windwalker Damage Table:
    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing

    Utilities
Utilities are skills that are not centered on damage but beneficial in terms of mobility, escapes and a like.

    Moon Kick
A skill used to descend to the ground much faster.
    Spiral Kick EX
One of the best utilities in terms of mobility. Maximize this to position and trigger an Air Current Skill.

    Tip Tops
Utility to extend being airborne. You will be able to trigger by pressing Shift + Direction whenever you are in the air.
Also works best for ground mechanics like stomps.
    Max for Cooldown.

    Spirit Shot > Tip tops
Blooming Kick EX > Flip Kick > Tip tops
Spiral Kick > Flip Kick > Tip tops
Double Somersault Kick > Tip tops
Rising Storm EX > Tip tops
Cyclone Kick EX / Cyclone Kick Ins > Tip tops
Counter Ring Shot / Circle Shot > Tip tops

    Skill Analysis
Invincible during Airtime Click image for larger version Name:	5rJb7y6.png Views:	1 Size:	516.5 KB ID:	82888

Invincibility is removed a few seconds before hitting the ground Click image for larger version Name:	91Hsx2P.png Views:	1 Size:	509.0 KB ID:	82889
    Chain Trampoline
A ground version of Tip Tops. You have to be grounded to cast this.
A good escape skill. It has a fast animation for emergency escape.
    Max for Cooldown.
    Spirit Shot
A utility to retreat backwards. Distance can be increased thru Tip Tops in backward direction.
    Circle Shot
A utility commonly used by most Acrobats as an emergency escape skill.
Though, personally, I find this one of the unreliable escape skills we have.
This skill is best used as a utility to bounce and reposition.
It is meant to be used offensively because it was given a debuff.
    Swift Attack
I placed this as a utility as it is one of our reliable Invibility.
That being said, it can be utilized as a DPS skill, but can also be utilized as an escape skill. (Can do both as well.)

    Buffs and Debuffs
    • Buffs
      • Rage of Owl
        • Helpful buff, sustainable
        • 10% flat increase in Critical Damage.
        • 300 secs duration, Cooldown 10 seconds
        • As AGI types, Windwalkers have a problem for Critical damage, hence this skill, in someway, is helpful. Additionally, This skill does not take SP on skill build.
      • Showtime
        • Essential Buff, unsustainable
        • Skill cooldown 90 seconds
        • Cooldown of Passive Skills reduces 90% for 30 seconds
          • 36 seconds with Skill Heraldry
        • An additional effect, it enhances Spiral Edge.
          • Enhanced Spiral Edge damage is increased 100% (Times 2 or doubled)
        • As mentioned, this is a core skill. As per the effect of class mastery 1, in which CD of Spiral Edge reduces 20 seconds per successful first hit of Air Pounce, Windwalkers should optimise skill rotation during the duration of the buff to maximize DPS output.
      • Spirit Boost
        • Essential Buff, unsustainable
        • Skill Cooldown 44 seconds
          • 36 seconds with Cooldown Reduction Skill Heraldry
        • Cooldown of all skills are reduced by 40%
        • Movement and Action Speed increase by 25%.
      • Spiritual Excel
        • Essential Buff, sustainable
        • Increases AGI for 180 seconds by 50%
        • This would yield to increase in attack power depending on your AGI stat. The higher, the better.
    • Debuffs
      • Blooming Kick EX
        • Sustainable, via Air Current
        • 20% Additional Damage taken by the enemy for 10 seconds
      • Circle Shot
        • Not sustainable, 4 second debuff downtime
        • Decreases enemy Critical Resistance by 20%.
        • Duration is 10 seconds.
        • Again, this skill should be utilized and should be used as whenever possible on skill rotation.
        • As Windwalkers, we have a lot of passives we can utilize for emergency escapes, hence we should maximize the Circle Shot for offensive matter on skill rotations.

just a note... it's should be decreased instead of increase... j

      Under "Spirit Boost":
Cooldown of all skills are "decreased" by 40%

          Mobility Combos:

          Utilizing AC Blooming Kick:

Utilizing Flash Kick to Minimize Idle Time

NO FLASH KICK WITH FLASH KICK

          Unlimited IFrame via Showtime
*Please note that some mechanics also penetrate IFrames.

          Notes:
          • Cast Flash Kick in between off CD for Air Current.
          • You are best attacking sideways and not upfront. Whenever hit or up front, escape via Chain trampoline, Circle Shot, Tip Tops or Spiral kick, assess mechanics and reposition.
          • Always take note of mechanics specifically Buff Wipes as DPS is greatly improved during Showtime and Spirit Boost.
            • For Spirit Boost
              • Most of the time I cast it whenever it is off cd to reduce the cooldown of Showtime.
              • However, this also depends if most of my skill is on CD. If not, I personally use the core skills then trigger SB.
              • But then again, may depend on mechanics.
          • You are not a Tank. You cannot tank everything if you need to retreat and reposition, do it. You have a weak super armor and only a few iframes.
          • In case of emergency, you can cancel a skill with Flash Kick and Chain Trampoline.
          • Will see how to squeeze Willow Kick in the scenario.

The Floor is Lava: Defying Deadly Stomps
Stomps is a common mechanic of all nests. All nests have stages that have this mechanic.
          • Most Reliable
            • Jump > Tip tops
          • Good Reliability
            • Swift Attack
            • Chain Trampoline
            • AC Rising Storm
          • Unreliable
            • Circle Shot
            • Spirit Shot
            • Flip Kicks (Blooming Kick EX and Spiral Kick EX)

          The Worst Enemy: Latency

Latency is the cause of lag.

          Windwalkers are best on low
latency, or less laggy environments. However, a red ping should not stop you from being a Windwalker.

I personally and, unfortunately, currently am playing in a forsaken connection in which my latency or ping is ranging from 400ms ~550ms. (One reason I do not apply yet for raid teams) My advice for those in challenging connection setup is to practice and learn. Eventually, you will be able to adapt to the latency and play nicely. Well, if you think about it, Adaptability is one cool trait of
          windwalkers.

UPDATE: As of service transfer, my latency problems decreased greatly! yay!

          Rising Storm: Conclusion

I hope, in someway, this helped you in understanding Windwalkers and hope this managed to get you started on the path of the wind!
