    Introduction

Hello there, brief introduction about myself, I'm an Elestra that's been around since DNSEA CBT and been playing an Elemental Lord-Elestra ever since then. So I have been quite familiar with an Elestra by now to know what I'm talking about. I'm here to write a guide to help potentially new Elestra-to-be or current Elestra who's in doubt. Hope that this guide can help any Elestra around~ If you still have any questions unsure about Elestra, feel free to ask away and I'll answer it.

    About Elestra

Elestra is a Sorceress and a DPS/Debuffer class. The main advantage of an Elestra is the ability to ice stack. Ice stack is a unique debuff that increases ALL DAMAGE by 20% that can stack with other debuff like lowering defense/elemental resistance. Only the Adept class can ice stack as well with slime/ice beam but those are not able to maintain a 100% uptime as compared to a well piloted Elestra. Not only can Elestra can help freeze which increases all other party member's DPS, Elestra can deal decent damages as well in raids or nests. Beware, due to the fancy nature of Elestra's skills, some of your pt mates might face some slight FPS issue.

    Pro/Con

    Pros

    Pretty Ice Skills
Easy to master (Skill rotations are not complex)
Relatively tankier than all other DPS class because of innate damage reduction.
Provides ice stacking & elemental resist reduction (Skill that freezes & phoenix storm)
Decent DPS (Not a top tiered DPS class though)

    Cons

May lag team mates or your own FPS
    Low DPS for solo content

    Why Elestra

Elestra can greatly help increases all other party members DPS (who doesn't like free DPS?).
Piloting an Elestra is also relatively easy because she has Elemental Shield, Ice Barrier & Class Mastery 2 which greatly enhances her survivability.
No other classes can keep up the ice stacking as well as Elestra does.
So if you would like to play a semi-support character that can deal moderate DPS while contributing to the team, Elestra would be the choice for you!

      Skill Build
Click image for larger version Name:	ST.png Views:	12 Size:	212.0 KB ID:	168951

This skill build contains all the necessary and basic skills needed.
All core damage skills are maxed as required to maximise DPS including Glacial Wave and Frost Wind.
lv4 Mind Conquer is to help out slightly with Elestra high MP consumption when refreshing Ice Barrier
Phoenix Storm is left at level 1 namely for the debuff and it is not worth investing SP as the damage increase is very small and you should have very low fire element, thus the DPS increase is almost nothing.

      Suggestions on skills to add
lv1 Flame Spark (Personal preference) - Low-No Priority
      lv1 Shockwave (Personal preference) - Low-No Priority

        Skill Breakdown
This section will only cover the core Elestra skills and not other skills like Saleana skills or Sorceress skills. All skills are automatically assumed as the highest possible level without a damage plate or +1 from cash weapons or skill +1 plate.
Click image for larger version Name:	Capture.JPG Views:	1 Size:	1.7 KB ID:	94311

Glacial Spike (CD: 7 seconds) (CD: 6.5 seconds with Boost) (CD: 4.6 seconds with Boost + Ice Barrier) - Shoots a small ice ball that travels in a straight line of where you are aiming at.
        Lv27: 603%

Class Mastery 3 Glacial Spike (CD: 9 seconds) (CD: 8.3 seconds with Boost) (CD: 5.8 seconds with Boost + Ice Barrier) - Increases Glacial Spike damage by 300%, increases cooldown to 9 seconds and causes the ice ball to fall to the ground with an arc.
        Lv27: 2412%

Notes: Pretty much a "must have" skill as the damage of Glacial Spike makes it a usable filler skill and also needed for Class Mastery 3 Icy Shards. After casting Glacial Spike, follow up with left click to cast Icy Shards. Only recommended to cast Icy Shards when it has 3 charges.
Click image for larger version Name:	Boost.JPG Views:	1 Size:	1.7 KB ID:	158258

Boost (CD: 5 seconds) - Sorceress & Machina party buff that reduces cooldown of all skills by 8% and increases Final Damage by 8%.

Notes: A very helpful party buff that helps boost DPS by reducing skill cooldown as well as giving FD. The FD skill buff can go over the FD cap resulting in 108% if you have 100% FD. With a lengthy duration of 900 seconds, there is no worries that it expires fast. Just make sure to keep this buff up always.
Click image for larger version Name:	Capture2.JPG Views:	1 Size:	1.7 KB ID:	94312

Frost Wind (CD: 7 seconds) (CD: 6.5 seconds with Boost) - Creates icy winds in an arc in front of your character.
        Lv11: 1750%

Notes: Frost Wind is a filler DPS skill and since Elestra has large amount of freedom of SP, you can consider fully maxed Frost Wind for the damage as you will be constantly spam it to cast Freezing Field Instant anyways.
Click image for larger version Name:	Capture3.JPG Views:	1 Size:	1.8 KB ID:	94313

Glacial Wave (CD: 12 seconds) (CD: 11.1 seconds with Boost) - Creates a wave of ice around character.
        Lv11: 2363%

Notes: The damage is mediocre and has an extremely short range. Can be considered maxing to use it as a filler skill.
Click image for larger version Name:	Capture4.JPG Views:	1 Size:	1.7 KB ID:	94314

Shatter (CD: 18 seconds) (CD: 16.6 seconds with Boost) - Channels for a short while and then removes the freeze/frostbite of all enemies within range.
        Lv11: 2973%

[Awakened Passive] Shatter - Does not change Shatter channeling speed, damage or cooldown. It prevents Shatter from removing the freeze/frostbite of enemies hit. It also has a chances to freeze at 30% chance for 5 seconds.

Notes: Shatter has a relatively high board damage so it is worth taking as a filler skills and since you need to max it anyway for the awaken passive. The awakened passive makes it more useful to use Shatter as it does not remove your current freeze layer and adds a chance to freeze frostbitten enemies.
Click image for larger version Name:	Capture5.JPG Views:	1 Size:	1.7 KB ID:	94315

Icy Shards (CD: 9 seconds) (CD: 8.3 seconds with Boost) (CD: 5.8 seconds with Boost + Ice Barrier)- Shoots out a few ice spikes in front of your character.
        Lv19: 2219%

Icy Shards EX - Increases the damage of Icy Shards by 50% and adds an extra hit.
        Lv19: 3328%

[Awaken Passive] Icy Shards - Increases the damage of Icy Shards by another 20% and allows Icy Shards to save cooldown and hold up to 3 charges.
        Awakened Icy Shards Lv19: 3772%
3 Consecutive Icy Shards Damage: 11316%

Class Mastery 3 Icy Shards - After casting Glacial Spike, when using Icy Shards, the action speed will increase, the second consecutive Icy Shards will deal 50% more damage and the third consecutive Icy Shards will deal 100% more damage
Second Consecutive Icy Shards Damage: 5658%
Third Consecutive Icy Shards Damage: 7544%

Total Damage of Glacial Spike + Three Icy Shards = 19386%

Notes: Icy Shards will become one of your core DPS skill after unlocking Class Mastery 3. The downside of the full combo of Class Mastery 3 is that you have to cast Icy Shards immediately after Glacial Spike and you have to saved 3 Icy Shards. Highly recommended to take a +1 skill level with any cash weapon if you are not using conversion weapon and also a damage skill plate.
Click image for larger version Name:	Capture6.JPG Views:	1 Size:	1.6 KB ID:	94316

Freezing Field (CD: 15 seconds) (CD: 13.8 seconds with Boost) (CD: 9.7 seconds with Boost + Ice Barrier) - Creates a wave of ice in front of you.
        Lv18: 3308%

Freezing Field EX - Increases the damage of Freezing Field by 60%.
        Lv18: 5292%

Class Mastery 2 Freezing Field EX Instant - After casting Frost Wind, changes Freezing Field into a Freezing Field Instant that creates the wave of ice centered around the character. Freezing Field & Freezing Field Instant has separate cooldown. Freezing Field EXi is the same as Freezing Field EX.

Notes: Freezing Field is one of the core DPS skill of Elestra. It has a large AoE and Freezing Field Instant can be used to cancel skills early. Highly recommended to use a damage skill plate.
Click image for larger version Name:	Capture7.JPG Views:	1 Size:	1.6 KB ID:	94317

Frozen Spikes (CD: 12 seconds) (CD: 11.1 seconds with Boost) (CD: 7.8 seconds with Boost + Ice Barrier) - Creates 2 ice spikes in front you that will last for a short while.
        Lv16: 516% Per Hit

Frozen Spikes EX - Adds an additional ice spike, adds an explosion damage that does 50% of Frozen Spikes and increases the damage of Frozen Spikes by 20%
Frozen Spikes EX Damage Lv16: 619% Per Hit

Frozen Spikes EX Explosion Lv16: 309%

Notes: While it sounds little, the skill shines when attacking large size bosses. Only downside of this skill is to ensure the boss stays inside the spikes for the full duration (around 3 seconds) or to place it in a way that the boss can get hit by all 3 spikes. Highly recommended to use a damage skill plate.

I have personally tested multiple casting of Frozen Spikes and noticed that it can only do a maximum of 20 hits. The damage are all the same for all 20 hits. Not sure if this is intentional or not but no "explosion" damage that differed from the base damage was seen/recorded.

Therefore, taking into account all 20 hits does the same damage.

        Maximum possible damage = 12380%
Click image for larger version Name:	Capture8.JPG Views:	1 Size:	1.7 KB ID:	94318

Chilling Mist (CD: 38 seconds) (CD: 35 seconds with Boost) (CD: 24.5 seconds with Boost + Ice Barrier) - Creates mist that affects enemies in a cone shape in front of character.
        Lv13: 4290%

Chilling Mist EX - Increases the damage of Chilling Mist by 140% and adds an additional left click to trigger an additional attack that does 30% damage of normal Chilling Mist board damage.
        Lv13: 10296%

        Additional Attack Lv13: 1287%
        Total Damage Lv13: 11583%

Notes: One of the highest board damage skill of Elestra with a relatively long cooldown. Chilling Mist is one of Elestra's best burst skill. It is very easy to reach the full hits and do not forget to use the additional left click to increase your DPS. Highly recommended to use a damage skill plate.
Click image for larger version Name:	Capture9.JPG Views:	1 Size:	1.7 KB ID:	94319

Blizzard Storm (CD: 150 seconds) (CD: 138 seconds with Boost) (CD: 96.6 seconds with Boost + Ice Barrier) (CD: 77.3 seconds with Boost + Ice Barrier + 20% CD Plate) (CD: 65.7 seconds with Boost + Ice Barrier + 20% CD Plate + Combined Skill Level 15)- Channels and creates an ice storm that damages all enemies within range. Cannot move while casting but the skill grants iframe.
        Lv3: 8169%

[Awaken Passive] Icy Shards - Increases the damage of Blizzard Storm by 300%.
        Awakened Blizzard Storm Lv3: 32676%

Notes: It has a decent damage but the long channelling (increased when awakened by [Awaken Passive] Icy Shards) may cause you to potentially die in certain mechanics that requires to move. However, it has a good usage to dodge incoming skills or mechanics as well like for example Rune Dragon Nest Stage 3 pizza mechanic. Recommended to cast it when your other core DPS skills are on cooldown and when you know it's safe. Recommended to take a cooldown skill plate.
Click image for larger version Name:	Capture.JPG Views:	1 Size:	1.7 KB ID:	97790

Elemental Shield (CD: 30 seconds) (CD: 27.6 seconds with Boost) - Creates a shield that reduces damage received by 40%, increases Super Armor by 50% & lasts 20 seconds.

Notes: Nothing much to elaborate on to be honest. Cast it whenever it's up. Or use it right before a punishing nest mechanic. Core tanking skill along with Ice Barrier.
Click image for larger version Name:	Capture10.JPG Views:	1 Size:	1.7 KB ID:	94320

Ice Barrier (CD: 120 seconds) (CD: 110.4 seconds with Boost) - Creates a shield that blocks damage for 80 seconds.
        Shield Durability: 15% of HP

Ice Barrier EX - Increases Ice Attack by 30% for 80 seconds and reduces cooldown of Glacial Spike, Icy Shards, Freezing Field, Frozen Spikes, Chilling MIst & Blizzard Storm by 30%.

Notes: A very helpful buff and a minor shield to help withstand some damage. With Class Mastery 1, it is very easy to ensure and maintain Ice Barrier with a 100% up time. Highly recommended to repeatedly cast Ice Barrier as often as possible to refresh the HP strength of the shield. The buffs are separated from the shield itself so even with the shield broken or destroyed, you will still have the buffs of increased Ice Attack and cooldown reduction.
Click image for larger version Name:	Capture11.JPG Views:	1 Size:	1.6 KB ID:	94321

Ice Sphere (CD: 25 seconds) (CD: 23 seconds with Boost) - Creates a ice ball that slowly moves forward while shooting out ice spikes in all directions. 40% chance of freezing an enemy per spike. Maximum hits is 56 times for spike and 1 hit for ball.
Lv11: 123% Per Spike Hit, 368% Per Ball Hit, Freeze Duration 8 seconds

        Total Damage Lv11: 7256%

[Awakened Passive] Ice Sphere - Allows Ice Sphere to save cooldown and hold up to 3 charges while on Glacial Field. Ice Sphere and Awakened Ice Sphere (While standing on top of Glaciai Field) has separate cooldown.

Notes: Ice Sphere is your core freezing skill as the sphere will shoots out alot of ice spikes and does a lot of hit when the sphere overlaps an enemy. The multiple hits will ensure the enemy will get frozen easily. Since Ice Sphere & Awakened Ice Sphere has separate cooldown, it is recommended to spread out or carefully timed each Ice Sphere to help ensure a 100% up time of freeze. Ice Sphere only has damage against huge targets like dragon but you should mainly used it to freeze.

Tested quite a few time but the maximum hit I could achieve is only 57 hits so I'm assuming it's 1 hit of ball and 56 hits of spikes since the incremental is by 4.
Class Mastery - Increases INT by 50% and reduces the cooldown of Ice Barrier by 1 second when any Ice skills hits an enemies.

Notes: This passive skill makes it more worth stacking INT. With this passive, all you need to do is essentially hit an enemy 40 times with any ice skills to ensure a 100% up time of Ice Barrier. It is very easy due to the nature of how Elestra skills does multiple hits.

Class Mastery 2 - Increases ATK by 15% and reduces damage received by 15%, recovers the cooldown of Freezing Field EX Instant by 15 seconds when hitting any enemy with Frost Wind.

Notes: This passive skill greatly increases your survivability when combined with Ice Barrier & Elemental Shield. It also essentially reduces the cooldown of Freezing Field EX Instant to 7 seconds which is the cooldown of Frost Wind. Greatly increases DPS by spamming Frost Wind followed by Freezing Field EX Instant whenever Frost Wind is up.

Class Mastery 3 - More information covered under Glacial Spike & Icy Shards

[Awakened Passive] Frostbite Mastery - Frozen targets will received an additional 30% damage when hit by any Water Attribute skills.

Notes: This passive skill will be one of your highest DPS due to how it affects every single core DPS skills as long as the enemy is frozen. Therefore, it is very important to keep a 100% up time of freeze as it not only increases every party member's damage by 20% but further increases your damage by an additional 30% damage.
Click image for larger version Name:	Capture12.JPG Views:	1 Size:	1.8 KB ID:	94322

Glacial Field (CD: 40 seconds) (CD: 36.8 seconds with Boost) - Creates a large field that damages enemies inside it every second. Has a chance to freeze enemies at a 30% chance for 2 seconds per hit.
        lv1: 360% Per HIt

        Maximum Hits (31) Damage: 11160%

Notes: This skill is mainly used to allow you to sustain your freeze layer along with Ice Sphere. The damage is relatively okay but it has a very long cooldown and it takes around 20 seconds to deal the full hit and have to ensure that the boss stays inside the field the whole duration.
Click image for larger version Name:	Capture13.JPG Views:	1 Size:	1.8 KB ID:	94323

Ice Cyclone (CD: NIL - Costs 15 Bubbles) - Creates a cyclone that will damages all enemy caught in the cyclone. Maximum 50 bubbles.
        lv1: 500% Per HIt

        Maximum Hits (16) Damage: 8000%

        3 Cyclones @ Maximum Hits: 24000%

Notes: This skill is an extremely good skill against stationary bosses and even against mobile boss, using this skills while your other skills are on cooldown helps to speed up your Ice Barrier recovery speed as well as dealing decent damage. Try to get up to 45 bubbles before casting to cast multiple cyclone in a row.

          Gears
Elestra's main stat is INT and thanks to Class Mastery, it converts more INT to MATK so thus making INT stats the most lucrative stats as compared to MATK. This section will be catered towards mainly towards DPS build and account for only lv95 gears unless otherwise stated.

Note: For heraldry, you should aim for MATK (2719) 3rd stat and for talisman, you should aim for INT (1901) 2nd stat.

Best 2nd stats (DPS-wise) for Elestra will be:
          FD
          INT
          MATK
          Critical
          Critical DMG

          Heraldry

          Basic

          Must Have:
          Intellect
          Magic
          Ultimate
          Limitation
          Life Vitality
          Health
          Fatal
          Attack

Intellect & Magic is the core bread and butter and obviously you must have it.
Ultimate & Limitation is also a strong recommendation to increase your FD/Critical DMG respectively.
Life Vitality and Health is mainly to help improve your HP so you can survive more in raids/nest.
Fatal is needed to boost your critical values since it's especially hard to hit the critical cap of 89% in the current lv95 cap.
Attack provides a decent value of MATK and FD.

          Defense:
          Iron Wall
          Tent

Iron Wall is more recommended to have because of how hard most end-game contents hit, to help negate some damage taken.
Tent is largely irrelevant as boss rarely do MDMG.

          Optional/Heraldry Expansion:
          Bear
          Fatal

Due to the gearing system of lv95, most gears provides a huge base STR and AGI stats and allows Bear/Wind plates to further increase your STR/AGI to boost Critical DMG.

As the price of 3rd stats heraldry has immensely dropped, you should only be using 3rd stats heraldry at any point.

          Fellowship

Priority (Most important to least important:
          Chaos
          Lebria
          Striking
          Elevation
          Attack
          Origin

Lebria gives a huge amount of Final Damage which is greatly needed for higher DPS.

Striking provides a huge source of critical and Critical DMG and a decent amount of FD. Recommended to go for either a INT or a MATK stat variant for higher DPS increase.

Elevation & Attack are important to have as they gives the fundamental INT & MATK which are needed to increase an Elestra DPS. Elevation is slightly better over Attack because of the additional stats such as AGI and VIT.

Origin is the "worst" as it provides no base MATK/INT stats. If you want to invest in a Origin plate with 2nd stats INT/MATK, investing in either Elevation/Attack is better as it will yield more DPS

          About Chaos Fellowship Plate
Chaos is important to have as it provides the highest stats compared to other plates. However, getting the one that you want or the best of that stats is very hard to get. There is no easy way to getting the best chaos plate that you need, just keep doing dungeons and pray for RNG.

In terms of stats for Chaos plate, the best would be a hybrid of MATK-FD or pure FD if you haven't hit the FD cap. Else a high MATK plate would be the best option because of the nature of lv95 Chaos plate.

The values for the best possible lv95 chaos fellowship plates are:

          Raw MATK/INT:
          14000 MATK
          14000 MATK + 3100 INT
          14000 MATK + 3100 INT + 66000 HP
          14000 MATK+ATK + 44000 CRIT + 44000 CRIT DMG

          FD:
          1000 FD
          1000 FD + 66000 HP
          1000 FD + 14000 MATK-ATK

          Skill

          Recommended:
Freezing Field (DMG) OR Chilling Mist (DMG) - Goddess Heraldry

          Icy Shards (DMG)
          Frozen Spikes (DMG)
          Blizzard Storm (CD)

These 4 skills are the core damaging skills of Elestra. You will use the skills a lot in your damage rotation and not using them is like saying bye bye to free damage. Depending on your choice of Dreamy Jade or Blood Moon Jade, choose the corresponding Goddess Heraldry to equip. Blizzard Storm being able to dish good damage now so having a CD plate helps to use it more often.

Optional (With Heraldry Expansion) - Highly not recommended:
          Glacial Spike (DMG)
          Shatter (DMG)

Thanks to Class Mastery 3, Glacial Spike damage has been boosted. However, it is still relatively weak and not worth using a plate in place of your core DPS skills.
Likewise with Glacial Spike, both Shatter & Glacial Spike damage is mediocre and using a 3rd stat plate with INT/FD/MATK is more worth it.

          Special Skill

          Recommended
Barnac Skill Heraldry - Breaking Point (Increases attack power by 20%, lasts 40 seconds)
Geraint Skill Heraldry - Healing Barrier (Increases all elements by 20%, lasts 40 seconds)
Divine Dragon Skills (Permanent Bugged Version) - SDN (Reduces ice resist by 20% & freezes enemies for 10 seconds)
Divine Dragon Skills (Permanent Bugged Version) - GDN (Increases all damages by 20% for 10 seconds)
Divine Dragon Skills (Permanent Bugged Version) - DDN (Reduces all elemental resistance by 15% for 10 seconds)
Iona Skill Heraldy - Heal (Recovers HP by 20%)
Karahan Skill Heraldry - Ice Shield (Decreases damage received by 10%, lasts 5 seconds)

The DPS of the special skills are very low and they all have very long CD (180 seconds). The buffs/debuffs can come in great during DPS windows however, they tend to be exclusive or limited. The other supportive options is the ice shield or Iona heal.

          Talisman

          Recommended:
          200%

+3 or higher Guardian Sharp Talisman
          Element

          175%
          Intellect
          Magic

There is not much to choose from as talisman offers low increases in stats. However, should you opt for 2nd stats talisman, you will see a big improvement in stats when they all add up together. But they can be costly.

+3 or higher Guardian Sharp & Element talismans are the default talisman used to increase an Elestra DPS so as a priority they should always be in your 200% slot.

Intellect & Magic talismans should be adjusted to 175% to allow the greatest increase in damage as they lose out compared to Guardian Sharp or Element talisman.

Fatal is greatly needed to reach the high critical cap.

Limitation, Bear & Wind talismans are aimed towards reaching the critical DMG cap. If you don't need them, you can substitute with defensive options such as Iron Wall, Health & Life Vitality

          Recommended with talisman expansion:
          200%
          Intellect
+3 of higher Guardian Sharp Talisman

          2nd stats Talisman

          Jade
-All jades uses the Legend variant value.

Recommended Attack Jades (Best to worst):
          67k MATK + 9.5% Magic/Element + 473 FD
          67k MATK + 9.5% Magic/Element + 3.5% HP
          40k MATK + 9.5% Magic/Element + 10k INT + 3.5% HP
          67k MATK + 9.5% Magic/Element + 30k Crit
          67k MATK + 9.5% Magic/Element + 30k Crit DMG

FD is the most valuable source of damage increase but it is very expensive. Not suitable for the common players.
HP will be the next best option provided that you cap critical value. As Ice Barrier will scale off HP, having more HP ensures that you have higher survivability for end game content such as FDN.
Personally, I would opt for a 67k MATK variant instead of the 40k MATK variant. Typically with enough MATK % scaling, the 27k MATK increase will usually surpass the gain from the 10k INT variant.
Critical is recommended if you are unable to reach the critical cap especially if you change your accessories from Refined Genesis to the GDN L accessories.
Critical Damage is highly not recommended as you will be having a large INT pool coupled with Limitation plate should allow you to easily reach the Critical Damage cap. Especially since armor jades gives a large sum of INT as well.

          Magic % or Element %
One of the top most asked question is typically whether you should opt for MATK % or Element %. A good rule of thumb is typically going for an equal % of MATK and Element by tallying all your % source from costume and heraldry.

As Elestra has an easily 100% uptime of a 30% Ice Attack buff, you are allowed a freedom of building more MATK % as Element % usually have diminishing effect if you stack more of it. Personally, I went for a 5 MATK % jades if you want to know what I opt for.

Recommended Defence Jades (Best to worst):
          11.3k INT + 21k MATK + 170k HP + 411 FD (Myth)
          11.3k INT + 37k MATK + 170k HP
          11.3k INT + 21k MATK + 170k HP + 5.7k VIT + 7% VIT
          11.3k INT + 21k MATK + 170k HP + 41k Crit + 18k Crit DMG
          11.3k INT + 21k MATK + 170k HP + 18k Crit + 41k Crit DMG

FD is the most valuable source of damage increase but it is very expensive. Not suitable for the common players. Argueably the FD variant has never been seen and not even sure if it's available or not.
As Elestra has high innate survivability such as Ice Barrier, Elemental Shield and innate 15% reduce damage from Class Mastery 2, Elestra is allowed the greatest freedom in opting for the "Glass INT" jade for a higher DPS.
The HP/VIT will be the next best option if you find yourself often dying or needing the extra HP. As Ice Barrier will scale off HP, having more HP is always good.
Critical is recommended if you are unable to reach the critical cap.
Critical Damage is highly not recommended as you should easily reach the Critical Damage cap.

            Personal TIps/Tricks/Opinions

            Glacial Field Cancellation
Before casting Glacial Field, casting Frost Wind first will allow Freezing Field Instant to be cast.
After which, cast Glacial Field followed by Freezing Field Instant to cancel the long channeling animation while allowing Glacial Field to be active.

Note: Do not cast Freezing Field Instant too early else you might just cancel Glacial Field entirely. Wait for about 1 seconds to see the field appear before casting. You have to react fast in order to pull this off successfully.

            Ice Stacking
It is adviced to start off a DPS rotation by first using your normal Ice Sphere. When Ice Sphere's freeze layer is about to wear off, use Glacial Field to help extend freeze duration. Use Ice Sphere as needed during Glacial Field and when Glacial Field is on cooldown, use Shatter & Ice Sphere as needed to maintain the freeze. Follow up with Glacial Field as soon as the cooldown is over.

Note: Ice Sphere & "Awaken" Ice Sphere has a separate cooldown tracking.

            Skill Usages
Make sure to use Ice Sphere + Phoenix Storm before doing any DPS. Freeze debuff should be up as much as possible.

Use Frozen Spikes, Freezing Field (with Dream Jade) and Chilling Mist generally whenever it is up as they are hard hitting skills.
Use your Ice Cyclone x5 when you are at full bubbles.
Always and only use Icy Shards if you have 3 charges together with Glacial Spike.
Glacial Spike, Freezing Field EX Instant and Shatter are generally filler spells.

Nice guide, didnt know that about Mana Flow and Ice Barrier reducing the CD of skills even more, should be on an 'Useful Tips for Any Sorc - Topic' or something. Thats your DPS with what gears? Elestra is actually the Sorc with the lowest DPS among the 5?

My gears at the point of video was using a full set of IDN L.

                  My town stats were:
                  478318 - 529049 MATK
                  84.4% ICE
                  300% CRIT DMG
                  100% FD

Hmmm in terms of DPS wise, I think Majesty has slightly more DPS.

But there are a few factors that makes Elestra>Majesty in my opinion for raid.

                  For example:
Elestra has Ice Barrier which provided a large shield and also high SA to ensure skills will not get interrupted
Elestra has the ability to freeze which not only increases her DPS but the whole party as well.
                  Elestra has relatively low CD
Elestra's rotation has little to no setup

"Wind & Fatal plates should be a low priority as lv93 cap is easy to hit. However, if you actively participate in lv95 content (such as VN), you can opt for Fatal plate to help increase your critical value."

I do not understand this. Can you elaborate more.
and every elestra that I ask, they said Farm Critical value instead of Critical Damage.
and can i know what the different if I farm (Critical value instead of Critical Damage) and (Critical Damage instead of Critical Value).

                    thanks.

*I am not at home now and can't check the exact value for critical

For example, if your elestra is say a sub account or mainly used for rune dn (a lv 93 content), lv93 content cap for crit is based on lv93 max critical value, it is significantly easier to reach lv93 critical cap value and therefore, excess critical may be wasted.

For lv93 content, since going above the lv93 critical is pointless, I recommend going defensive stats to significantly help improve your survivability as a dead dps is zero dps.

But however, if you're actively doing lv95 contents such as vn/ggn/nm, you'll be basing off the lv95 critical cap value which is extremely high and difficult to cap. Thus, you need every single critical value you can gain to help increase your DPS.

In simple terms, your priority is to hit 89% critical to maximise your DPS. For high end players, critical is very easy to come by and increasing critical damage will help improve DPS. But for low end players who has difficulty getting a good critical value, they should focus on critical first. Try to find a good balance between critical and critical damage to maximise your DPS.

A simple heraldry setup may looks something like this

For low end player going lv93 content without hitting lv93 critical cap
Intellect, Magic, Ultimate, Limitation, Fatal, Wind, Life Vitality, Health/Attack

For mid tier-end game player going lv93 content with lv93 critical cap
Intellect, Magic, Ultimate, Limitation, Bear, Life Vitality, Health, Iron/Attack

For any player who plays lv95 content
Intellect, Magic, Ultimate, Limitation, Wind, Fatal, Life Vitality, Attack/Health

                        few more question.

why sometime when i use Glacial Field skill, it show the skill but there is no effect. just nothing.

and how to do skill Glacial Field without waiting the skill complete ( because i saw some eles do that skill then can do other skill quickly)

and do skill Ice Barrier can be canceled ? sometime i already use that skill but the barrier does not appear.

                        thanks

Glacial Field cancellation is explained above. There's even a mini video guide.

Glacial field and ice barrier not working/taking effects have been here since the release of the skills. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any bug fix yet. The condition to trigger this bug seems to be totally random. There is totally no way to go around it. Just have to pray that when you use ice barrier/glacial field, it doesn't get bugged.

Glacial field bug - Animation played and visual indicator appeared but no damage dealt and no ctc for ice sphere.

Ice barrier bug - Animation played but no visual indicator and no buff icon appeared.

                            DN Maths Time!

Thanks to the upcoming buffs in kdn feb 2018 (http://blog.divinitor.com/blog/2018/...ion/#sorceress)

On the surface, the Elestra buff seems to be a pitiful tiny increase. But after breaking out the numbers and calculating, this is what I found out. This is just the quick overview version, the more in depths version are under the respective skills~ These are all under assumptions that you are doing the full hits for each skills
