There is no point in further discussion when the community refuses to discuss it beyond a specific point. You're right on that point, but that's probably a good reason why some things aren't ever going to be fixed. I really would like people to try to at least comprehend what I wrote instead of skimming then shoving words into my mouth that I didn't really say.
BowieSage No it hasn't, it just belongs in another topic.

Tbh, as said above there's no point in further discussion at this point. If you strongly believe that they should go 12 hour instead of 24 hour, then just go vote for it on their facebook.

a game that was US/canada restricted, shouldn't be any surprise the majority of their playerbase is still US. rest of america is now allowed too though.
i'm sure there's more people in the world that understand 24-hour time than people in the US that don't too, no matter what someone's getting "alienated" 24-hour is just so much more convenient for a lot of things.
i do agree that the last would be best, heck if it were possible i'd rather have UTC in there, that's the true -global- solution

Has this community REALLY fallen so low that a 24-hour clock is a more pressing concern than the fact that we STILL don't have 93 enhancement transfer OR the ability to SS rare eyecash accessories?

it doesn't drive away users from the games and I emphasized that part was a tad bit exaggerated, but it was for the sake of a simple flowchart. in the end, a lot of misunderstandings (despite how easy reading 24 hr time is for you people) may come out of it. optimal results will not be obtained with 24 hr time listings for events for Dragon Nest's United States (by URL) or North American server.
it's bad marketing period. it seems negligible, and it's noticeably marginal at best, but it's bad marketing and a problem that can easily be fixed without qualms from both parties. if anything, it contributes to the problem, but no one finds it "pressing" enough to fix it.
sure there are more pressing issues, but that's for another thread.
dumb debate, negligible results at best, but highlights how the community deals with a lot of problems... also goes to show any semblance of a "real" argument devolves into something closely as "get over it" or shit posting. maybe a little cherry picking here and there. either way tons of fallacies from a lot of people i didn't expect it from.
disclaimer:
i don't care. arguing for argument sake. don't really care about 24hr format "issue.

In my 5 years of reading forums, I've seen a lot of dumb threads. This might not be the most dumb thread I've read, but it certainly is, by far, the most dumb debate I've witnessed on Dragon Nest forums.
The game isn't dying because people can't read a clock. It's not turning away Americans from the game either.
There are way more issues on Dragon Nest that a 24 hour clock.

Out of all the things that the U.S. does differently from other countries, this is one that can actually be learned rather quickly and cause for confusion can be combated simply with knowledge.
Say for example some reads "17:00 ". If they're in the U.S., VERY high chance that they will have no idea what this means. They then Google or research this in some way. They learn about the time and make the necessary conversions to the time. Is it natural for us? Not really. Even I will sometimes have to stop and think, but this is about 5 seconds at most. 17:00 doesn't exist for us so there's nothing to confuse it with. People here just don't want to adapt to this, but it's something that I personally believe should be here.
Now, if they wanted to make a change where we fit other countries system of writing out dates... then I can see an issue. The date today is 12/10/16 written in U.S. and 10/12/16 written elsewhere. Those are 2 things that can get very easily confused and have honestly screwed me over. But for time? Nah.
Then this begs the question why did they do it in the first place? it's bad marketing which alienates the market which then "kill" the game even faster (written a tad bit dramatically, game isn't dying)... which is my point in the first place. happy for you, but not many probably share your same enthusiasm. do they have to deal with it? ya. will dn get less players online for their events because they posted in 24hr time instead of both? ya.
trivial at best? ya pretty much. easy fixes that can appease both parties? ya.
solution:
post in game clock as mentioned before, 24hr/12hr doesn't matter. 24hr would be better if they continue to post in 24hr.
or
post both.
