Didn't get knocked down. Other people went up cause laddered while I didn't ladder for 3 days due to work. Maybe you would know how ladder works if you didn't have someone log on your account and ladder for you cause you suck at pvping.

If I may add something here.

Out of all the things that the U.S. does differently from other countries, this is one that can actually be learned rather quickly and cause for confusion can be combated simply with knowledge.
Say for example some reads "17:00 ". If they're in the U.S., VERY high chance that they will have no idea what this means. They then Google or research this in some way. They learn about the time and make the necessary conversions to the time. Is it natural for us? Not really. Even I will sometimes have to stop and think, but this is about 5 seconds at most. 17:00 doesn't exist for us so there's nothing to confuse it with. People here just don't want to adapt to this, but it's something that I personally believe should be here.

Now, if they wanted to make a change where we fit other countries system of writing out dates... then I can see an issue. The date today is 12/10/16 written in U.S. and 10/12/16 written elsewhere. Those are 2 things that can get very easily confused and have honestly screwed me over. But for time? Nah.

He is actively solving this problem by having Zeplic log on his account and do ladder for him so he can get that diamond 1 title. Sometimes you got to think out of the box to solve your problems instead of crying on forums.

    that logic begs the question:
ok then why the american format for dates?

also i said marketing for the us audience, not the fact our publishers are korean overlords. it has no relevance to the fact it's just bad marketing., it'd make more sense MARKETING WISE to put 12hr am/pm format.

    again to reiterate/disclaimer:
i don't care. arguing for argument sake. don't really care about 24hr format, just salty posts aren't being comprehended.

nvm i'm just going to shift my point to it's bad marketing for DN period. this should be more digestible... hopefully.

DN NA (or DN US as the url implies) is marketed towards the united states. everyone else is included too, but fact remains it's mainly for the united states. month, date, year is also a US format. putting 24hr is just dumb when everything else is Americanized. marketing event times in 24hr format when your main market are americans is just stupid. at this point i'm not arguing whether or not 24hr is hard, but it's just plain stupid to do it like that, at least in marketing terms. if they ever change the formatting for month day year to day month year, then i hope these same arguments from the same people arise.

anyways enjoyed everyone's feedback, but would appreciate it if you would respond to more than just a hiccup in my statements tenks!!!!!!!!!!

if anything just salty that people are telling me irrelevant things that don't pertain to what i'm saying in the first place.

Let me clarify again that I really don't care one way or another
Makes post complaining that 24hr shouldn't be used, says he doesn't care afterwards

Okay, I'm getting the sense people are thinking I'm actually complaining. I'm not complaining and I am arguing for argument sake. I don't need to be responded with a ton of "get over it" or "go learn it" or whatever. I know how to read 24 hr time despite my hiccup in a previous post (1800 is 6PM OK??????). While it bothers me I can't read 24 hr time instantaneously, I don't have trouble converting it. The problem is that there's more room for error for the user base not familiar with 24 hr time, which so happens to be the majority user base, aka the United States players, where 24 hr time is taught briefly if at all.

Let me clarify again that I really don't care one way or another. I used myself as an example to think it's quite annoying, but it's something that I can manage. I'm arguing for argument sake, sake of discussion, to dig deeper towards the root of the problem versus telling everyone to get over it. It should be acknowledged as a problem to the majority user base for Dragon Nest US because it's strange and people like the opening poster are likely to misunderstand times. Point being it alienates a large number of users... maybe not to you specifically, but to the general population (of Dragon Nest US). I'm sure there are players that have never even heard of 24 hour time.

Yes, this fix is marginal at best, and yes the whole thing is trivial at its core, but the mentality here is what I'm trying to change. Of the 10s of so people that told me to get over it (get over what though???), at most 3 offered a solution that wasn't illegal, telling me to get over it, or cherry picking one out of several statements I made because there was a notable error there.

I'm not asking for ED To switch it back or fix it (though there are super simple solutions, like posting both 24 hr and AM/PM), but more so acknowledging it's a problem, despite trivial to most forum users.

Hahahaha. Way to invalidate your entire point, which can be summarized by "it's annoying and I don't like to think waah" The only people who want this are idiots.

Sorry but there's complaints about everything on Dragon Nest and not every issue has to be resolved. There's more babies here that cry about everything than in the hospital. Kids these days are so spoiled that all they do is complain instead of finding a way to solve their own issues.
