End game content in this game isn't super hard, if you know mechanics well then you can get by with pretty shit gear. More DPS/HP you have the less mechanics and skill you have to apply in raids. You can skip DPS checks with certain methods

Yes, you can clear end game content without a full set of costume accessories. Costumes maybe, but the strongest Cash Costumes are ones you can purchase without EC through the MP. Anyways, it's just that much harder to kill without EyeCash. Technically doable, just hard...er.

There's also the common ground of f2p users buying Eye Cash through gold. They're funding the game that way, I guess.

- Never said ED killed the game, they are one of the reasons their own game is dying. Nexon built the road to failure and ED did a fine job trying to fix it, however as pounding says, they don't seem like they care anymore.
- You have the IQ of a squirrel. New players / returning players start from scratch like me, I have been playing for years and it's the only reason I can make 30-40k in this trash economy within 3months without any luck / 3rds which is now starting to slow down rapidly for me since I had more free time / made alts / lvled ppl for rewards and made bank off that.

If you're so rich go buy me 6-7k per piece full epic costumes (42kg rounded to 6k per piece) + buy me 10k EC per month (150:1k let's say = 1500g) so I can fund myself my genesis accessories / L grades / weps, and my 3rds which is going to cost me anywhere from 150kg-300kg.

Please come back when you have some knowledge about how this game works. That's not even counting other EC you need for other things. What a joke.
Also an FYI 6 USD + taxes is prob around $9 for one 30 day item CDN/CAD. I'd have to charge 15 bucks for hero package per month as a Canadian instead of the expansion itself on top of my other spendings in-game.

Do not use the "I don't need this to clear end game content" excuse either because that is flawed. I can guarantee my EC equipment gives me half my DPS alone. Never go full retard.

Stupid gold buyer that doesn't realize how overpriced the EC shop is and that free DNP should be perm. 15 USD (20CAD) for a dual scroll, 44 CAD / 30 USD for a 30 gamble of eggs. Let's not even talk about how important a dual skill scroll is, and how it's 6 bucks, then there's a skill up crest and a talisman expansion too if you want that, which can come in a package of 10 bucks, then you have to synthesize for epic costumes that may cost 50-100 bucks + to achieve, or spend 30 USD for a costume which is necessary if you don't want to have shit stats or play casually / get carried.

You've also failed to realize there was no notice for this "temporary DNP "event" ". It's just bugged.

You can easily buy ET with gold, they don't enforce the ToS. If you can't afford ET with gold then you would be garbage regardless if the game was p2w or not. The player base was already declining which is why there was a publisher xfer in the first place. The playerbase has been on a decline with Nexon, don't act like this is some new fucking shit that has only happened after ED took over. It was P2W with Nexon for the last 5 years, why the fuck are you still here if you don't like it? You're complaining about $6. 6 fucking dollars mate. I like how you also add in something that you can purchase from marketplace. Solid. You fail to mention you don't need any of that shit to clear the hardest content in the game. That said, this is one thing that should stay in the game. While unheard of, it gives everyone a chance to get those cash shop items for their character and encourages continue to play. It be a shame but considering how much they gave, can't be too mad over it.

I completely agree, I think it's better to plan for having the majority of your user base be paying customers rather than rely a small portion of players spending a lot.

That having been said, I really, really wish they would change how the game/shop works, so the cash shop isn't such a wallet-gutter. It's a massive turn-off to anybody who's price-conscious and has a budget, and the little things like the DNP coupon do help curve those off-putting costs. (Example: Aren't V.eye.P coupons more expensive on a monthly basis than what p2p customers pay for games like WoW, FF14, etc.? If I'm mistaken there, my bad. But I could've sworn they were $20-30 monthly)

To be fair to ED though, I do see a lot more freebies being given out now than what I recall with Nexon, so I can and do still appreciate that.

WoW is 13 a month if you sub for 6 months. FF14 is 13 a month for 180 days sub. probably the most popular mmos right now along with guild wars 2.

a lot of f2p games can be way more expensive in the long run and is more of a deterrent for most people. when most people see stats on cosmetic items that's a red flag to not really bother.

i dont think it will change with dragon nest unfortunately.

30$ a month from a single player may not be a lot but you need to consider how many other people are like you. Yes whales make up for a large portion of their revenue but I would say your average joe makes up more of the revenue just out of sheer numbers than you think. Besides I've seen people eventually quit even after they've invested several grand into the game, just depending on a select few players to keep the game up is not a good choice business wise since if they do quit, you just lost a large portion of your paycheck. It would be best to shift to having most of the players paying a fraction of what the rich players paid since it would take a royal screw up to get them all to leave.
