Non Farming Chill Room?

So since arena exp can't be gained in a locked PvP room is it safe to say I can just make a chill room with the pw as the room name and just meet and socialize have, have fun, etc that way without having to be an offender? Lots of 1v1ers hate chill rooms and that's fine don't go in then simple. It's just another way for people to socialize on DN if they don't want to do PvE content and just sit in town. Problem solved.

Yes, if you pw a chill room you're not technically breaking any rules, because you do not receive rewards.

I highly recommend continuing to keep chill rooms alive. They're healthy for the community outside the toxic few who ruin it for everybody. It's also a pressure-free environment in ideal cases to practice pvp for the first time.

I have to agree with this. I have been recently warned by a friend that he and his cronies are going to report me for participating in a chill room (Im a new pvp-er and I hate the pressure of the orange rooms, or even some of the other ones. Half the time I cant even tell whats happening because of all the visual effects). And it may not have looked like fighting to this person, but the few people that were there weren't just standing around chatting, there were several 1v1s going on, and yes, it was light, People threw skills and countered or evaded. I actually enjoyed it.

But the most ridiculous part of the matter is this same person had asked me to queue up in ladder because he knew he could kill me so he could increase his ranking last Friday. And he doesn't see anything unethical about it. The thing is these people who complain about chill rooms aren't necessarily above being unethical when it is convenient to them.

Why? Just 1v1 if you really want to 1v1 but leave people who just want to socialize in a nice computer generated setting with no gold bots alone. Lots of people enjoy them and like zeplic said it's good for the community. If you we're one of those pvp chill room farmers then oh well you won't get points. No harm no foul.

I don't personally have a problem with it, and I don't really see a reason to actively go into one unless your goal is to start drama with someone in said room.

Which, honestly, is totally plausible given chill rooms nature but that's OK.

Chill Rooms are honestly what got me into 1v1s to begin with cuz when I was new I saw a room that said "chill" and thought it was for chill people but it was actually just a chill room. Saw two dudes 1v1 in that area across valley bridge and got the 1v1 bug ever since.
