  • support class not needed...

This post is just my take on the current dungeon meta
Due to Labyrinth Timer every party seems to be prioritizing DPS and relying on dodge skills to save themselves( which i think is good since nobody is blaming the healer if they died going KOS/YOLO) but this mind set of relying on mechanical skills on dodging have slowly killed the healer, back in the early dungeons when the 5 minutes timer was not yet in place, a low geared team of four players can finish a dungeon with a healer albeit "longer" But now Parties require you to contribute your own damage instead of relying on you to heal them since the lab is timer based and party is fully healed when a stage is completed the need for healers is not necessary.
The meta now requires Buffers and de-buffers not healers although we have only 3 classes categorized as healers, Hard core healers are now rare and rarely do you see GTS shout outs of "LFP>need Healer " or LFP> Saint here"
This is true for regular pleb like me and i don;t know about the high game end dungeons but a regular healer seems to be a dying class.
A lancy has a more chance to be invited vs a saint just because lancy buff is OP right now.

Will the healer be needed in the future reading Divinator page I think not as the developer seem to be concentrating on new content.
Parties are looking for fast clears and DPS.
Redundant dungeons then overtime the player already memorized the mechanics that chance of going to a low health is I guess LOW

the Only hope is that Phys are still cute so

I heard Fissive Dimension (new event that can get free 3k pcs jelly) is Compensation-On, means no gears required like CBN
    that will really require healers

also, very high Labyrinth Floor still require healers (so DPS can focus and YOLO all they want).. good healers (with DPS, all Class have decent attack skills nowadays.. need good gears. Its not an era where healers don't need good gears anymore)
Green Dragon Nest TA & Forest Dragon nest required healers

in short, if you are good geared.. any class is acceptable.

Fissive dimension is not Comp. On. It's clearly on the patchnotes. And i saw a video on youtube that a tier 1 calypse set with unique jades wouldn't be able to finish the abyss difficulty on that dungeon.

Not true, this only applies on lower floors of the labyrinth and due to the fact that the higher floors you reach, the tougher the enemies is, so healers would be required for when dps class goes YOLO as xForgetty stated, 30th floors and above may need healers, since sometimes even an experienced player needs to hit all the skills they can land on the boss while it still doesn't trigger its mechanics, considering most mechanics eats up a lot of time and going YOLO has risks of making mistakes such as casting a skill that can't be cancelled even with tumble (certain skills that makes a character go into skill animation where it includes jumping, sliding like the sliding shot for sniper, finish attack for gladiators, initiation of hammer hand by crusaders, can't cancel it once the crusader is still in the process of pulling their large hammer to land on the enemies)

Healers are still needed for new nests such as FDN, if a party is still inexperienced with the mechs, healers are necessary in a raid party, but as time comes, ofc the players gets used to the mechanics and can easily avoid any incoming attacks from the boss, let alone the team wipe mechs, but ofc it all depends on a team's game play, some are geared but aren't experienced in dodging or skill casting or timing the skills they need to use in order to swiftly avoid any incoming damage.

IF they manage to make mechanics that requires certain roles to successfully avoid a team wipe, like a guardian needs to use provoke in order to anger a boss and then suddenly a safe zone will be created, or a mechanic that requires a saint to use their cure relic or healing skill in order to remove the debuff casted upon by the boss etc etc. then we will see the necessity of having a tank, and healer class in a party, although that's just a speculation and far from being real.
