Usually this question comes up for some Patrona players Your choice is usually will depend on what your goal is. Try to watch some YouTube videos about them and see which one picks up your taste. Or try to have both since you can have both max levels during this exp event. Even get both at tier 2 +20 set

tank on PVE/pvp type player go defensio...
low DPS but hellish total damage on PVE/less pvp go ruina

well either way you need extreme patience and good combination on rotation to get how to play machina
lot of memorizing of command combinations etc etc(this is the reason i played and main machina) same rotation everytime bores me
