  • Problem with my DPS

hello, i just wanted to point out something that i have noticed since ED's sneaky patches... twice on this month now, and i don't know if you've noticed it yourself but i noticed my crusader keeps on dealing such a low damage compared from before the patches after the crusader revamp, this is just a theory of my own and this is not a solid assumption that it is the cause.

whenever i use Thor's Hammer, there are times that it did not have an increased in action speed as to what they said on the patch note for the revamp, it was slow and the same animation as from before, well this is just sometimes when i use it... and then i noticed that it dealt less damage compared to my other skills, and because it deals 16,000% damage on both patk and matk, i doubt it could deal less damage than my mighty blow with conviction aura toggled on...
and sometimes my hammer hand and mighty blow didn't dealt the damage they were dealing from before, it feels so weird... and empty... like my heart...

all my other skills are fine, Divine Combo with the CM III, both patk and matk proc works fine with the damage i see fit, lightning zap deals the same, and electric smite as always a good spam with its instant to deal decent amount of damage..

i have changed my gear into medea tier 1, from before it was only neris +20 with only my mace enhanced to +8, it dealt more damage before than now, i don't understand why... its weird... like me

that's all, i just wanted to share my thoughts about this matter, hope i'm not the only one experiencing this, or i am just imagining things again...

test with a broken weapon. it will give you constant damage.

They appeared, gleaming and victorious. Our Emperors, breathless, bathed you in savior's silk. Then came the sound. Across all our worlds, the ceremonial Naga drums. Ten solemn beats to declare the suffering was over. With each beat terror began to crush my throat. They were not stoic and silent. I tried to call out but only a strangled whisper escaped.
When the ninth beat rang a torrent of blood filled the stadium, loosed by divine blades. The drums, the Empire, fell silent forever.

"Test with a broken weapon" meaning you can retest the damage again with a broken weapon because a broken weapon does not give any stat (except if you put jade in the weapon)

Test with broken weapon coz it does not create variation in the results. If you look at all gear, only weapons have min and max atk given. Take that away, the damage will be constant. But you need a weapon to attack so the solution is to use a 0 dura weapon to remove the attack stat bonus.

Yeah, I also seemed to get similar issue with my Sally DPS too.

There are occasions whereby even with 927k MATK I can still deal very weird DMG as low as 10k only when using my Burst Skills.

This strange DMG issue is like this: LOW HIGH LOW HIGH HIGH HIGH LOW LOW LOW HIGH
    HIGH - 700k
    LOW -10k - 100k

I initially thought it was my Critical Rate issue but I found out it was at 89% MAX Cap.

I thought it was normal until I saw this POST that confirmed my suspicions too.

is it alright if screenshots? seems that my lappy can't handle the stress of recording a video and playing the game at the same time

Well, skills with a single hit seem to have really variable damage because of crit%. Bosses have a critical resist stat, so despite having 89% crit, there is still a more than 11% probably of not landing a crit. And since the skill has only 1 hit, the difference in damage becomes quite evident when you don't crit.

Well, in any case, i don't know if they made any sneaky change to crusder but that's just my experience with single hit skills like guillotine cross on raven.

i don't think that depends on the critical resist... IMHO crit resist from enemy boss reduces the critical damage you deal to them, for instance, they have 25% crit resist, when you proc a crit hit, 75% of the damage is dealt, 25% is resisted, and it's not really on the chance, because whenever i shoot out a double charged shot (siege stance >** charged shot) the first arrow lands, if its a crit hit, the 2nd arrow always deals a crit hit regardless if the first arrow misses, its still a fixed denominator, the crit chance doesn't rely on the crit resist of the enemy to land a crit hit.

This is wrong. Crit resist reduce your chance of dealing critical hits, not reduce the crit damage. This can be seen when you do nest with high crit resist. I think the only one remaining is SDN 93 HC, which is reported to have as high as 60% crit resist. Now I'm unsure if crit resist is reduced if you use a lvl 95 char... but using a lvl 93 char, you will see what I mean

Xenocho is correct, crit resist decreases the chance of landing a crit, not the crit damage itself.
    Working...
